On the morning of August 14, the first phase of the Zibo campus of our school was officially put into use. Zibo Municipal Party Committee and Mayor Yu Haitian, and School Party Committee Secretary Ding Xibin attended and jointly unveiled the name of the school; Zibo Municipal Committee Standing Committee Member and Organization Minister Gao Qingbo, Deputy Mayor Bi Hongwei, Municipal Government Secretary-General Zong Zhijian, andmembers in charge of relevant municipal departments, the School Party Committee Deputy Secretary and President Wang Xikui, Vice President Zhang Zhaoming, and responsiblemembers of relevant departments attended the opening ceremony.

President Wang Xikui said in his speech that he would like to thank the Zibo Municipal Party Committee, the Municipal Government, and the members of the project construction team, facing the impact of "Lekima Typhoon" and "COVID-19 Pandemic", they are determined to forge ahead, work hard, innovate and createthe "Zibo speed" of university campus construction, and the first phase of the Zibo campus was successfully put into service in advance. The official opening of the Zibo campus has further improved our school-running conditions. We will seize this opportunity to continuously improve the level of teaching and research and the quality of talent training, further strengthen the school-local co-construction, and deepen the school-city integrated development, cultivate high-quality applied talents for the economic and social development of Zibo, give full play to the role of "booster" and "think tank", and help Zibo's new and old kinetic energy conversion and industrial transformation and upgrading.

In his speech, Yu Haitian said that the construction of the Zibo campus is an innovative move to integrate high-quality resources of province and city and jointly build a high-level university. Since the start of construction in August last year, the project has overcome many unfavorable factors such as the"Lekima Typhoon" and "COVID-19 Pandemic". The first phase of the project was completed earlier than the planned construction period, demonstrating the "Zibo efficiency" and "Zibo speed" of university campus construction. Yu Haitian said that in recent years, Zibo has taken science and education innovation empowerment as a "PowerProducer" and "Accelerator" to promote high-quality development, solidly promoted school-city integration, industry-education integration, and planned the construction of a university city, science city, and entrepreneurial innovation with high standards, built a high-quality platform for the high-quality development of universities in Zibo.
