On December 8, the final round of the 6th Shandong College Students’ Science and Technology Innovation Contest was held at Qingdao University. A total of five projects in our school have entered the final round. Among them, “Miniature Fully Automatic Membrane Machine” project, directed by Liu Weili and Han Yirong, won the second-class prize. Other four projects won the third prize.

Shandong College Students’ Science and Technology Innovation Contest is one of the highest level in our province, the most authoritative and professional university student science and technology competition, which is sponsored by the Education Department of Shandong. The entries include creative innovation, physical innovation, experimental innovation and production innovation. This eight category includes new-generation information technology, high-end manufacturing, new energy and new materials, modern marine, biomedical, high-end chemical, modern high-efficiency agriculture, and others. The number of participating projects and the number of awards is one of the important indicators of the Department of Education's classification assessment of universities in the province. Since the beginning of this August, there were a total of 10425 programs from 123 universities of the province, nearly 50,000 students participated, after going through school and provincial contests, there were more than 500 programs, 2400 teachers and students in 84 universities entered the final round.

The school attaches great importance to this contest. The schools have carefully organized and actively prepared. A total of more than 150 teams have signed up to participate in the contest, covering most of the college’s majors, and the number of participating students has reached a new high. In order to improve the quality of the participating projects, the school carried out multi-angle and multiple rounds of coaching training and simulation exercises for the participating students from the aspects of perfecting the application materials, scientific and innovative works, and defense skills.
