On November 22, sponsored by China Association for GeospatialInformation Society, The Geographical Society of China, Central China Normal University and Nanjing Normal University,the 9th National College Students GIS Application Skills Competition came to an end at Central China Normal University. The team sent by the School of Land and Resources, Surveying and Mapping Engineering ofSDAEU stood out from more than 150 participating universities across the country and won the second prize.
SDAEU attaches great importance to the participation in this competition. The School of Land and Resources, Surveying and Mapping Engineering carefully organized the preliminary competition, selected the participating students, instructs the teachers carefully, and the participating students prepare for the competition carefully and train hard. During the competition, a team composed of four students( Wang Xinyi, Chen Rufan, Guo Dong, from our school's 2018 Remote Sensing Science And Technology, Zhao Shijing, from the Surveying And Mapping Engineering) worked calmly andcollaboratively in the spatial data collection, editing and integrated processing, and the spatial analysis technology application competition module, performed well, and achievedexcellent results in the second prize.
A total of more than 800 participating students and more than 300 instructors from151 colleges and universities from across the country, participated in this competition, including Wuhan University, Zhejiang University, China University of Petroleum, and Sun Yat-sen University, which is the largest GIS major in history and the largest number of participants.
