Recently, the Ministry of Education issued the “Notice of the Ministry of Education on Announcing the Results of the National Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Project in 2018”, and a total of 296 national virtual simulation experimental teaching projects were identified, and were commended bythe leaders of the Ministry of Education at the end of the Chinese MOOC Conference. 16 universities in Shandong were identified. The “Digital Simulation Experiment Teaching Project of Digital Surveying and Mapping in Model Village of Village Revitalization”, hosted by Associate Professor Cao Xuewei of the School of Land Resources and Surveying and Mapping Engineering, was approved. This is the first time that our school has been approved for this type of project, and it is also a major breakthrough that our school has achieved in national teaching projects.
The “Digital Simulation Experiment Teaching Project of Digital Surveying and Mapping in Model Village of Village Revitalization” takes the rural development and development strategy as the background, Qilu model village as the material, through the school-enterprise cooperation, uses virtual reality to transform scientific research projects and social services into virtual teaching resources, through virtual simulation experiments to simulate the drone aerial photography and vehicle mobile measurement complementary Collaborative, GPS-RTK-assisted digital surveying and mapping processes and methods, which stimulated students' interest in learning, improved professional literacy and innovative capabilities, and experiments are not limited by time, space, and equipment, making practically difficult experiments possible. At the same time, It can meet the needs of related colleges and industry companies in learning and training, and scientific and technological services, and it has a very wide range of people and regions. The project has been shared on the national virtual simulation experiment teaching project sharing platform(http://www.ilab-x.com).
The virtual simulation experiment teaching project is one of the five “golden courses” that the Ministry of Education has focused on. The national virtual simulation experiment teaching project serves as a positive exploration form of “intelligence + education” in the field of talent cultivation, and strengthens the concept of talent-oriented talent cultivation, focuses on raising the awareness of the deep integration of information technology and experimental teaching, solves the problems in experiments, internships, and training in colleges and universities, andtackles the problems that were previously impossible or “Can't do it well” question. Our school will take this as an opportunity to further increase the construction of virtual simulation experimental teaching projects, comprehensively deepen the reform and innovation of experimental teaching, actively explore new models that promote the deep integration of modern information technology and experimental teaching, and continuously improve the quality and level of experimental teaching.
